PERSIAN MEMORIES has been rather expensive to follow but John Dunlop's filly has run to a reasonable level of form of late and has been given a chance by the handicapper so she looks worth one more chance to open her account and gets the vote ahead of Cayman Sky and Sircozy. Improved efforts in admittedly moderate classified stakes races in his last two starts mean that the Stuart Williams-trained gelding has to be respected back in a handicap. He makes more appeal than Chateauneuf, from the yard of Barry Hills, who has just under three lengths to find with Sircozy on running last time. D'Artagnans Dream caught the eye in defeat at Lingfield two starts ago but horses often do there and he looks best discounted after his latest outing at the same venue. Richard Hannon's Cayman Sky ran better in a maiden here last time but still being without a win after 14 starts is a concern and preference is for the less exposed maiden Persian Memories.
