      Verdict

Some interesting newcomers are introduced here including John Dunlop's Coventina and Saida Lenasera from Mick Channon's stable but preference is for Richard Hannon's Dowager, who caught the eye on her debut, and she appeals more than stable companion Another Faux Pas. The selection had very little luck in running on her debut at Goodwood in the maiden won by Cape Trafalgar, having her run stopped twice inside the final two furlongs and, granted a clear run today, should fair better. Coventina is a Daylami half-sister to Largo and should improve over further with time. Saida Lenasera is more speedily bred than some of her rivals being by Fasliyev and rates a bigger danger than the other newcomer Tamarillo, who is another by Daylami. Of the others to have raced Love In The Mist appeals most but Dowager has solid claims and looks worth a bet to recoup Goodwood losses.
