This does not appear to be the strongest of contests and we are with Bell Island against Nikolaievich and Everybody Knows. Bell Island ran some creditable places in France when trained by Criquette Head and this clearly was on the mind of Julian Wilson when he signed the docket at Newmarket Sales last year. The market will tell us if the ex-BBC man fancies him today. Nikolaievich looks fairly modest by Paul Cole's standards and it would be disappointing were something not to improve past him. Everybody Knows was entitled to need the race as a juvenile. He was always likely on breeding to be a better prospect for time and the market is watched. Bassinet is yet to find the winning key at Lingfield and switches the other way around. Don't Stop Me Now is fairly precocious from a breeding persepective so is interesting that connections have waited a year before getting started. Sweet Lightning is a half-brother to Jagger so stepping up in trip should bring about improvement. Bell Island is the selection to minimal stakes.
