Chessman, a son of Acclamation, represents last year's winning stable so is respected. Master Archer is the first foal to race of a mare that won four times on the all-weather but the Cape Cross filly HADEEQA is a half-sister to three winners so looks the pick of the newcomers. Simon Crisford's filly gets the nod ahead of Esprit De Corps, who made late headway when sixth over track and trip six weeks ago. Widnes is improving and will be one to watch in handicaps this winter.
