Caution is the key here as none of these have won a race, so our token choice is JENNEROUS BLUE who gets the vote from Captain Cool and Keenes Royale. This filly was fourth last time when staying the trip well, so today's step up to a ten furlongs is enough to swing the vote in her favour, racing as she does off the same mark. Captain Cool has proved disappointing for Richard Hannon and connections and a step up from seven furlongs looks more in hope than expectation. Even so, he ran reasonably when second last time and must have some chance in such a poor affair. If any of these are to prove miles ahead of their mark it could well be Keenes Royale for Ralph Beckett. His daughter of Red Ransom showed little in three turf maidens but should be suited by stepping beyond a mile and if there's market support it may pay to take notice - her trainer has found a very weak beginning to her handicap career. Anchorage Boy makes his handicap debut as well but a mark of 59 seems harsh and he's an absence to overcome whilst fellow handicap newcomer Cordiality has been beaten out of sight in three starts to date. Of more interest therefore is Kyoatee Kilt who has been nibbled in the market more than once, but again he needs to show more here, as does Land Of Plenty whose distant second two starts ago is the only ray of light in her locker. With Joe Rua looking just about the worst of a terrible bunch, we return to Jennerous Blue who gets a less than confident vote.
