      Verdict

      Soar Above beat Grey Galleon easily enough when scoring over 6f here and a 5lb penalty is negated by an apprentice’s allowance. He’s preferred to Regimented, placed yet again at Newmarket last time but without a win since 2017. QUICK BREATH scored over course and distance before going close again at Goodwood. This looks an easier task and Jonathan Portman’s charge gets the vote. Briyouni won here in January but was well beaten off today’s higher mark last time.
