      Verdict

      CHEMICAL CHARGE landed the odds in a conditions race at Musselburgh last time but his third in the Group 2 Hardwicke at Ascot before that was a better effort and he finished ahead of Midterm at Newbury back in April.. The latter also won a conditions race at Epsom on his latest start but is hard to catch right and steps back up to 1m4f today. Danehll Kodiac returned to action with a victory at Newmarket last month but was beaten in a handicap at the same track last year by Scarlet Dragon. The latter went close in a Group 3 race at Goodwood before running poorly over 1m6f at York last time and Wild Hacked failed to figure in the same race on the Knavesmire. Law And Order is the only three-year-old in the field but looks to have a tough task.

      Scarlet Dragon 15-2 (9-10) Held up behind, driven and headway over 2f out, soon switched inside and one pace, ridden 1f out, weakened final 100 yards, 12th of 19, 10 1/2l behind Nakeeta (9-5) at York 1m 6f hcp (2) gd in Aug.

      Wild Hacked (USA) 16-1 (9-4) In touch, dropped to mid-division after 4f, chased leaders over 3f out, every chance over 2f out, one pace over 1f out, weakened inside final furlong, 9th of 19, 7 1/2l behind Nakeeta (9-5) at York 1m 6f hcp (2) gd in Aug.
