In depth

Verdict

The 115,000gns colt, Ardaal, is worth a second glance on his debut but a few of these have already shown enough to suggest they can win an ordinary maiden. Hold On Tight made a pleasing debut when third at Newmarket in September and Royal Signaller went close over track and trip on last month's introduction. THOMAS HOBSON attracted a bit of support on his return at Windsor and ran well enough for third when well clear of the re-opposing Conquestadim. John Gosden's colt gets the nod to lose his maiden tag in this.
