In depth

Verdict

Civil Unrest went up 6lb after winning at Cartmel in May and hasn’t raced since. A close third at Carlisle recently suggests Middlebrow is back on a fair mark and he should be in the firing-line but Sudski Star needs to drop a few more pounds and showed little here on his reappearance. The going is likely to be too quick for Vengeur De Guye and he was well beaten behind CHAIN OF BEACONS here last November. Katie Scott’s charge disappointed back here in May but has wind surgery since and should go close if the operation has had the desired effect.
