FIRST STREAM can right the wrongs of last time and get the better of Thumbs Up and Best Lover. The selection was in the process of running a good race when tipping up last time out on his hurdling debut at Musselburgh. Good ground suits this former German Listed flat winner, and this trip should be ideal. Even though he did not complete last time he is sure to be better for the experience and we will side with him. Thumbs Up ran a nice race after a four month break at Hereford last time and he looks more than capable of getting involved in the shake-up. Best Lover looks a decent prospect for James Ewart and he has made the frame in all three starts so far. He has to prove he can go on a sound surface, but if doing so then he can go close. Casual Affair has his optimum ground conditions and comes from a yard that is no stranger to success here, so he is respected despite having at least 12lbs to find at the weights. Buchanty Spout is bred to get at least this far and a market check is advised and we'll take First Stream to score.
