Verdict
Brick Layer showed improved form when second at Hexham and Donald McCain has won the last two renewals. But his charge has plenty to find with ANOTHER MATTIE and Spiculas on the form book. There is only a couple of pounds between the latter pair according to the official handicapper and Keith Reveley's charge has had a recent run. But he was beaten 20 lengths so Nick Alexander's seven-year-old is preferred given he hardly ran a bad race last season. The remainder look to be playing for places.
