Verdict

A winner at Cartmel last month, CALLIOPE was winning for the first time since landing a division of this last year. She looks worth sticking with in the opener. Strong Team returned a surprise winner at Sedgefield and a conditional’s allowance negates a 4lb rise while Tuff McCool placed in novice company at the same Sedgefield fixture and makes his handicap debut. Getaman is another unexposed type while the veteran Prince Khurram ran well for a long way at Bangor last time
