Verdict

ELOI DU PUY and Strike Of Lighting came home one-two over course and distance latest and the latter is now a couple of pounds better off for a beating of just over a length. There should be little between them on that evidence but the former is taken to confirm placings as he suggests that he has greater scope for further improvement, The latter remains the obvious threat however, Ballyquin Bay failed to get his head in front for Gordon Elliott and has not shown a great deal since moving to his current yard, but he is dropping pretty rapidly down the weights and could be one to keep an eye on. Boundsy Boy is another possible despite performing disappointingly last time as previous runs indicated he is more than capable of getting involved in an ordinary handicap such as this.
