Verdict

Uncle Percy hasn't had much experience but showed a bit more dash at Worcester last time and his rider's claim is a bonus. The veteran Occasionally Yours has managed to win eight times in a long career and leading point-to-point rider Tabitha Worsley was on board when he won from a 4lb higher mark here last year. Cheltenham De Vaige is still a maiden but was having his first start for Fergal O'Brien when almost getting up at Plumpton so should go well. Phare Isle pops up every now and then as he did at Fakenham in April though this could be on the short side, but a first-time tongue-tie appeared to work the oracle for Next Level at Uttoxeter as he showed remarkable improvement from his earlier form. Polarbrook completed a double in mid-summer but shot up the weights as a consequence so the vote in an open contest goes to COSMIC DIAMOND. Paul Webber's charge scored over slightly shorter on good ground here last month and found softer conditions against him at Chepstow.
