Verdict

This looks a competitive race in which Pangeran and Cromwell will have their supporters, but we will side with the Nigel Twiston-Davies mare Flora Muck. The selection is proven at this trip and is a game and consistent sort. He was a bit below-par last time at Towcester but still finished a creditable second behind Peacemaker. That run came hot on the heels of a tough race at Uttoxeter and now that he has been freshened up with a short break he looks worth supporting. Cromwell is an obvious danger and he won well last time at Market Rasen when beating Atomic Breeze. That win came on his favourite track, and although he is another that will stay this trip, he has shown most of his best form at Market Rasen. Pangeran is another that will not be far away at the finish as he is hugely consistent, and he ran his usual sound race when second behind Channahrlie at Warwick. He is sure to run his race once again but might be a little high in the weights at present. Supreme Arrow looks to be the best of the rest, but Flora Muck gets the confident vote.
