Verdict
A tough race to call here for punters with very little between many of the leading lights but the principals look to be Chain,Caper, Gale Star and Tacita, and the tentative vote is given to Chain. The selection was a fair third behind Gallapiat De Mesnil last time out, that form looks rock solid in the context of this race and under conditions that suit he is taken to score. Caper rates the main danger rates the main danger on his best form but he has not progressed as expected of late so he can not be put forward with any confidence. Gale Star hails from the same stable as the selection but on jockey bookings he looks the second string. Tacita is another that could go well but his jumping continues to let him down and in a race where the market will be very informative and where stakes should be kept to a minimum for the winner we return to Chain.
