In depth

Verdict

Alan King has two entries. Stockburn looks plenty high enough on what he's shown to date and not surprisingly Wayne Hutchinson has chosen Stylish Moment, who makes his handicap debut after showing potential around this sort of trip. The Drone, a dual point-to-point winner, beat two rivals at Stratford before just failing to make a successful return to that track over 3m2f in July though he had a very hard race that day. THE GROOVY HOOVY (NAP) had shown potential before landing a touch at Southwell where the further they went the better he got. In the expectation he'll get a strong gallop he looks the one to beat. Miss Mash took advantage of very heavy going at Newton Abbot to win easily but an 11lb rise make this much more difficult in better conditions. Picture Painter had a recent run on the Flat to put him straight and David Pipe's recent acquisition is one to keep on the rights side.
