Warwick winner Ukrainian Star appeared to have the perfect opportunity for a quick follow-up at Uttoxeter next time but was beaten 21 lengths by Celian. He also finished a long way behind Heezagrey on his reappearance at the same track. This race may well turn into a war of attrition and that will suit WOODLANDS GEM. The recent Ludlow winner has already won over 3m at Towcester should have no problems grinding it out around here and is probably still on a reasonable mark. Vacario and Acosta are both fairly consistent and, though neither are prolific winners, should also make their presence felt.
