Verdict
The consistent BEYOND CONCEIT won over a shorter trip at this track in heavy going but has gone close on fast ground before. Today's extra distance will suit and Tom Tate's charge is just preferred to Last Shadow. The latter is closely matched with the selection on collateral form having beaten Spirit Of The Law at Nottingham a fortnight, though he's yet to race on a surface as quick as this. Moidore is a winner on fast ground over a mile and breeding suggests he'll improve over middle-distances but Polytrack winner Almuftarris ran no sort of race at Newbury last week, albeit in better company. Montaser finished just ahead of Bob's World at Chester last time when beaten six lengths and Rainbow Gold has plenty to find on his handicap bow.
