There are only 32 entries spread over today’s six races but three previous winners contest this opener. Fairlee Grey tried to make all in a Grade 2 at Kelso after winning easily at Ayr but was a tired horse when crashing out at the last and took a long time to recover. Chti Balko had little to beat at Catterick and duly opened his account but could find POTTERS STORY a tough nut to crack today. Peter Bowen’s charge was possibly lucky to make a winning debut over hurdles at Ffos Las as leader Aintree My Dream fell at the last. But the latter has bolted up since and the pair were clear of the others so the form looks solid.
