        Verdict

        Double Up did well in handicaps last year and is well worth a try in this grade. But last year's winner KINGSGATE NATIVE looks to have been primed for another bid as Bob Cowell's veteran ran a blinder on his reappearance in the Palace House Stakes at Newmarket when finishing ahead of Cotai Glory and Line Of Reason. He was only a length behind the race-fit front-runner Take Cover and should reverse that form today on 4lb better terms. Cowell also runs Encore d'Or but he has plenty to prove on Turf while another furlong would have suited Out Do.
