Verdict

Patrick Morris has two recent winners at the bottom of the handicap with Brian The Snail carrying a 4lb penalty for last week's Ripon victory but actually well-in as he's been raised 7lb. He looks better than stablemate Street Life while The Dunkirk Lads' victory at Beverley came on softer ground and he lost a shoe when a close third there next time. He's won on quick going so has to be respected as does RUM COCKTAIL (NAP), who gets the nod. A dual winner on fast ground for Clive Cox, he was having his first start for Ed Dunlop when a close third behind The Spoof at Ascot and can concede the weight.
