Hochfeld finished half-a-length behind Speedo Boy over 2m at York last month but probably didn’t last home. He’s since run a cracker behind Duretto in a Listed race at Chester and can reverse running with Ian Williams’ stayer here. Bedrock and Cosmelli are held on the form book but it’s hard to leave the versatile and consistent Cliffs Of Dover out of calculations with regular pilot Megan Nicholls again doing the steering. Theglasgowwarrior and Bolder Bob are upped in grade but Never Surrender and Royal Reserve probably have each-way claims. MAM’SELLE has faced some stiff tasks this year and she has still to prove she stays this far but the handicapper has given her a chance on these terms and she’ll handle any give in the ground.
