A number of these come into the race with solid claims on the pick of their form and this is quite a competitive little race despite to the top rated horses only being on a mark of 60. Beauchamp Ribbon, Princess Shoka and Weet A Mo are all high on the shortlist but preference is for Mellino, who has sound claims at the weights. The daughter of Robelino had been holding her form well before being tried over hurdles at Bangor at the start of this month and this return to the Flat should see her in a better light over this more appropriate trip. The ground has also come right for Mellino and the Tim Easterby-trained filly may just be a touch too resolute for these rivals today.
