Hat trick seeking H Harrison is in tremendous form and is sure to have his supporters here, but this is a competitive handicap and the drop back in trip is not sure to suit him, so we'll take him on with the exceptionally well handicapped Pomfret Lad, while course and distance winner Kostar, Imperial Echo and Exmoor are all worthy of consideration. The latter has plenty of scope, having only raced four times, and Roger Charlton's colt was a shade unlucky when second to the in-form Superstitious at Nottingham last time so he must be feared off just a four pounds higher mark. Kostar had Imperial Echo a length and a quarter behind when winning over course and distance last month, and although both have been beaten since they were not disgraced and should again be in the shake up here. A line thriough Sierra Vista, who was fourth that day, suggests though that they have a bit to find with our selection, Pomfret Lad. He hasn't won for two years, when he was trained by Peter Makin, but Pomfret Lad is now fully 19 pounds lower than his last winning mark. John Quinn's charge signalled a return to form at Goodwood last time, when he finished a good second to the ever-improving Sierra Vista. The third home, Intriguing Glimpse, bolted up earlier in the week to give the form a very solid look, and Pomfret Lad gets in here before the handicapper has the chance to reassess him, which he surely will. H Harrison is entered at Brighton on Thursday evening, but if he does make a quick reappearance here then we'll be happy to take him on with Pomfret Lad.
