There are many that can be given a shout here, including Sir Edwin Landseer and but we will side with Cape Royal. Cape Royal ran a blinder at Epsom on Monday, as did Bond City who was just behind him there, when just beaten by Texas Gold. Both are considered but, from a good draw and with Kevin Darley booked, the former gets the nod. Sir Edwin Landseer was very unlucky at Goodwood last time, losing all chance at the start, He then finished a highly-creditable sixth and, if coming here in the same type of form, looks to hold a good chance. Up three pounds for a Newmarket win, Matty Tun cannot be ruled out on this going, while Malapropism is well-weighted based on his Musselburgh win in October, which came on easy going. Whistler often goes well here and has conditions to suit, while Whinhill House is not far above a winning mark. Fromsong ran well here from a three-pounds higher mark two runs ago, and Sierra Vista holds a fair chance based on her soft-ground Goodwood win. Green Manalishi remains in good heart despite being beaten last time, while the lightly-raced Hornpipe cannot be discounted but is encountering this going for the first time. Tychy is now back to a winning mark form last season, but has yet to win on easy going, while If Paradise is also on a winning mark and likes good to soft. As we say, it's competitive, but we will give the vote to Cape Royal.
