Saeed Bin Suroor won this race last year with Black Snowflake and he has every chance of repeating with Hoot, but we prefer the attentions of BUNCE ahead of Elusivity and Fight The Chance. Bunce is upped from five furlongs to six for the first time and has good prospects of becoming another Richard Hannon juvenile winner. Although the statistics are sometimes misleading, the Hughes-Hannon combination with juveniles has yielded a 23% strike rate over the past five seasons. There are claims to be had for the other Hannon yard colt in the field, Elusivity. The pedigree suggests this trip might be right and it is worth noting that on his debut run he showed his inexperience to miss the break. With a better run expected today he cannot be ruled out and there may be some value to be had. Hoot debuts in the blue silks and at a cost of 80,000 guineas as a yearling some fancy him to challenge for the major honours. Fight The Chance looks as though he is starting to get the hang of things and should play a part. Not far behind The Queen-owned Royal Exchange last time out at Salisbury, with progression he could produce an even stronger effort to battle for the top prize. However, we tentatively give the nod to Bunce to get the victory.
