Verdict

MULTELLIE missed this race last year having won both previous renewals. Tim Easterby’s charge is at home on today’s surface and gets the vote to bounce back to form. There was some cut in the ground when Daawy beat Flood Defence to win this contest last season and he can race off a lower mark today while Smart Lass won in a lower grade at Musselburgh last month. Lord Torranaga’s earlier success came at Southwell but he’s yet to win on Turf on the Flat though Where's Jeff has been thereabouts off similar marks lately. The veteran Watersmeet is not the force of old and continues to slide down the weights.
