Verdict

AYRAD faded in the closing stages over 1m2f at Newmarket on last month's debut. Today's shorter trip might be a better option at this early stage and Roger Varian's colt gets the nod to open his account. Tarrafal has failed to match a narrow defeat at Wolverhampton in three subsequent outings while bumper winner Molly Cat was well beaten despite making the frame on her first start on the Flat. Katies Joy is a half-sister to a winner and fellow newcomer Knight Of Glin makes more appeal than stablemate Another Lincolnday.
