        Verdict

        Todd Pletcher's newcomer Summer Shore is likely to attract attention as she's been reported working well but OCEAN FIRE has been knocking on the door and it's about time she was let in. Bill Mott's filly has been placed in six of her eight starts to date, all at a higher level, and can finally get off the mark. Florado gave notice of an imminent success when just failing to catch the winner in March but the speedy Noble Alma has been racing in sprints and isn't certain to stay this far. Quiet Company was behind the latter over 5f here in the spring and is another trying the trip for the first time.
