Verdict
Striding Edge could be the answer to this trappy maiden; the list of dangers is headed by Campbeltown Trader and Chantilly Dancer. The selection was well backed last time at Lingfield when he ran well for a long way before fading into mid-division. He clearly has ability and in the hope that this step-up in trip works the oracle we will forward him as the pick. Campbeltown Trader hails from the Tom Dascombe yard and he shaped with a bit of ability on his debut at Chepstow in a soft ground maiden. There should be more to come and he is worth considering, although he will need to step-up on that effort to get competitive. The form of those with racecourse experience is not great so it would be no surprise to see Mark Wallace's Chantilly Dancer go well on her debut, and this Danehill Dancer filly is certainly worth noting in the market. Barry Hills sends Mr Melodious to post here and he could prove best of the others, but for the winner we will stick with Striding Edge.
