Aidan O'Brien won the first running of this last year and MONARCH should follow suit. Odds-on when beaten into third over a mile at Limerick, he never got any sort of run when a short-head behind St Gallen over the same trip at Killarney and the drop in distance will suit as will the low draw. Flying Fairies has improved with each run and is another who should be suited by dropping back in trip after finding a mile just too far on ground with some give at Limerick. Heartful made a very promising start at Dundalk and started a short-priced favourite at Naas later but could only stay on at one pace in the soft ground. He may do better on quicker going while No Approval showed potential in two runs last season and Aegeus will have come on a bundle for his run over a mile at the Curragh.
