In depth

Verdict

EMPORIO did nothing wrong in his first campaign and may have run into a smart one when headed close home by Arturo Toscanini on heavy ground at the Curragh in November. Skilled Warrior didn't enjoy very heavy conditions at Navan after a close third when well supported at Dundalk while Kevin Manning picks Stylistic Approach of Jim Bolger's two entries though he finished last at Naas in November. Star Official has changed stables since a very encouraging opening run at the Curragh while Crystal Black is a half-brother to three winners and Thunder Rain's dam produced a winner with her first offspring.
