Arakan, Nayyir and New Seeker form our shortlist for the day's big race, with the vote going to New Seeker. A Group 3 winner last year, Arakan holds claims if at his best but, quite simply, Nayyir and New Seeker come out the best of these on official ratings and they are both horses that we like a lot. New Seeker could well make the running, with Nayyir looking to pick him off late. The latter was disappointing at Newbury last time but would hold a big shout based on his Sussex Stakes fourth the time before. However, call it sentiment or whatever, New Seeker has served us well this year, and is taken to get the better of him. Arakan, plus the upwardly-mobile Serre Chevalier and Sabbeeh, who is eight pounds better for the length and a quarter that Serre Chevalier beat him over course and distance two runs ago, can prove best of the rest.
