Shesha Bear should again be thereabouts on ground that suits but Willie Muir's filly looks to be in the grip of the handicapper at present and a better bet looks to be THUMBS UP, who gets the vote ahead of Resonate. The last mentioned ran better at Salisbury when last seen in July and Tony Newcombe's 10-year-old would have every chance if able to build on that effort. Papradon has done most of his racing on the Polytrack and has yet to prove his effectiveness on ground this soft on turf so he looks best watched, while Balnagore should handle it but has yet to win a race after 11 starts so is hard to back with any confidence. Shabahar handled soft ground when trained in Ireland and cannot be discounted but preference is for Thumbs Up. Luca Cumani's gelding is less exposed than his rivals after just five starts, should not be inconvenienced by the underfoot conditions and looks worth a bet.
