Gatewood has gone from strength to strength this season but is stepped up in both distance and grade here and may find the test beyond him. Dubai Prince came back to form at York but that was a much weaker race than this and Songcraft looks Godolphin's number one hope as he'll strip fitter for last month's second to Afsare at Sandown and was third in a Group 2 at Meydan at the start of the year. Afsare's trainer, Luca Cumani, won this last year with Drunken Sailor and QUEST FOR PEACE can follow up. Runner-up in the Jockey Club Stakes at Newmarket on his reappearance, he was then fourth in the Coronation Cup at Epsom and can be forgiven his run in the Hardwicke Stakes at Royal Ascot when he got no cover. Dandino didn't handle soft ground in the Princess Of Wales's Stakes last time and should do better here but Berling and Midsummer Sun are likely to find this too tough.
