Verdict
Hatha Anna developed in to a high class stayer last term culminating with a Group 2 victory at Flemington Park in November. The son of Sadler's Wells was having his first start since when a gallant fourth in the Gold Cup and had Give Notice (fifth), Persian Punch (sixth), Jardines Lookout (ninth) and Bosham Mill (eleventh) behind. Sure to be sharper for the outing, the five-year-old can confirm the placings despite carrying a 3lb penalty and is the TEAMtalk selection. Mark Johnston has won this event four times in the past and the stable's And Beyond, a narrow Listed winner at Chantilly in June, rates a danger while Charley Bates is the least exposed and remains open to plenty of improvement.
