Dermot Weld has won the last two and Willie Mullins also has an excellent record. Weld's newcomer Masdar is certainly bred for the job being a son of Dalakhani out of a winning mare. He's related to a whole host of winners and it would be no surprise to see him go in at the first time of asking. Mullins is represented by Anderson Macauley, who attempted 2m4f last time but was outpaced close home after leading at the trip. While he will surely go well he will probably do much better when sent jumping. SPARKLING TARA represents the best form here and gets the vote despite a long absence. Shark Hanlon's charge hasn't been seen since an excellent second to the useful Natural High in this a year ago but he will be primed for action and looks a promising type. Maddoxtown and Gurteen Lass are progressing nicely though this represents their stiffest test to date.
