Connections of VASTONEA will be very pleased to have seen the rain over the past few days and he's taken to follow-up last year's victory over Pintura. His three victories to date have all come on soft ground so any further downpours will greatly aid his cause. Fortify, Tandem and Ansgar are all very closely matched on recent collateral form and the former may just be progressing fast enough to come out best of the trio while Brian Ellison does well on his visits to Ireland so the in-form Global Village has to be a threat. Declan Carroll has also been making a name for himself here recently so watch out for the lightly-weighted Swiftly Done, who ran well behind Ansgar at the Curragh last month.
