Verdict

Attaboycharlie ran better than his finishing position suggests at Sligo and had Joshua Chamberlain behind but Brookie failed to justify strong support at Killarney when beaten eleven lengths. SECOND SUBALTERN had shown glimpses of ability before well supported and beaten a neck over 2m at Wexford where he just failed to get up. That could be good enough for this as What Path has had his chances though a strong gallop will play to his strengths while Gordon Elliott's newcomer Island Mccoo wouldn't need to be a world-beater to make a winning start.
