Assoon has obvious claims and should prove too good for his three opponents, the best of whom may be Come Bye. Assoon has only ever been out of the first three once in 10 career starts, and that was on the Flat at Lingfield last year. Gary Moore has been very patient with the son of Ezzoud who has not been seen since finishing third at Hereford last September. As a result he starts the current campaign on a handy mark and can defy an absence to land this qualifier. In contrast Come Bye is not so well treated but he has course and distance form to his name and will strip fitter for his recent return to action at Exeter. He makes more appeal than Mistified who has yet to open his account since coming over from Ireland. Canni Thinker has little to recommend him, and Assoon holds all the aces.
