A 3lb rise for SPARKLING SMILE's narrow success at Doncaster may underestimate David Lanigan's filly who is unbeaten in four runs in handicap company. She drops back in trip from a mile and a half which should suit her as her stamina appeared to be stretched that day but this does look fiercely competitive. Nafura has been unfortunate to bump into horses that have been well ahead of the handicapper the last twice and must go close, Anacopa is progressing whilst Fastback may benefit from having got her head in front. Her stablemate Circus Girl is no forlorn hope whilst Ishraaqat has improved with each visit to the racecourse and may well improve again for being stepped up in trip which all goes to make this a most compelling heat.
