tracked winner, ridden and ever chance over 1f out, no extra inside final furlong
made all under stand side rail, ridden 2f out, stayed on final furlong
tracked leading pair, ridden 2f out, kept on final furlong, not pace to challenge
MagicaslJust a quartet for the seller and one where BLUE NEPTUNE can overcome a slight disadvantage at the weights to see off Anjomarba and Tom Folan. The selection has twice won over this trip on the Polytrack in a handicap and more recently a claimer. This is only his third try on turf and if you can forgive him his last run he comes here in decent form in the context of the race. He is well worth a try on the green stuff again and Ryan Moore up shows positive intent from trainer David Evans, so we will side with him. Anjomarba has not gone too far off the boil after running particularly well at the start of the year. However, she has not yet shown the speed to win over this trip, with all her success coming over 6f, and we will take her on on that basis. Annia Galeria has plenty to find even at this level and Tom Folan looks a better prospect. Andrew Reid's filly won on soft ground at Haydock last summer but it was a soft race and she has struggled to regain much form since. This trip is ideal for her, but on balance she is hard to fancy today. Instead, we will stick with Blue Neptune.
