Verdict
FOREST DANE has the most to carry here, but could still see off the main dangers who are likely to be Caustic Wit and Radiator Rooney. It's two years since he won on turf, and he's spent most of his time recently on the all-weather, but with some eye-catching runs. Caustic Wit is the old boy of the race, and has more than paid his way over the years, with his 15th career win coming last time out at Chepstow. He's the only one to have won recently, but does need everything to fall right though to land the spoils. Radiator Rooney was third when racing out of the handicap at Brighton last time out, and he's been expensive to follow, and not won in nearly a year. On his day he's a match for most at this sort of level. All of these have winning form in the locker over this trip, and it looks pretty competitive; there's a trio who've won over course and distance, Caustic Wit , Who's Winning and the selection, Forest Dane.
