Verdict
AYLA'S EMPEROR was confidently ridden at Fakenham last month to follow up her first victory at Newton Abbot. A further 8lb rise is obviously a concern but John Flint's mare may have further improvement in her. Cape Caster won his maiden here at the end of 2014 and, though failing to add to that, has hardly run a bad race since and will be hard to keep out of the frame again. Breaking Bits remains in the handicapper's grip but also has place claims while Destiny's Gold has the ability to figure as long as the going doesn't deteriorate. Fontwell runner-up Thepartysover prefers softer ground, however, so connections will be praying for the heavens to open.
