Verdict

ABBEYGREY won over fences at Huntingdon a week ago and carried a penalty to victory at Newton Abbot on Friday. He can race off the same mark as his first success back over hurdles and would take all the beating if allowed to take his chance here. Gwili Spar is proving hard to win with and likewise Bally Braes, who returns from a break, while Barton Heather disappointed when favourite at Fontwell in June. Pennant Dancer was pulled up at Newton Abbot in the same moth but would have a chance on an earlier victory at Worcester when the ground was on the soft side of good.
