The weather has played it's part in keeping Desmond Tutu off the track in the last couple of weeks and he has been denied the opportunity to build on the promise he has shown in his four starts to date. The six-year-old has done little wrong on each occasion and it seems pointless opposing him in this moderate heat. He acts on the ground, should relish the trip and the services of the in-form Timmy Murphy have been secured for the ride. Glen Warrior is the obvious danger but his penalty for winning at Taunton will make his task a much harder one today. Home James fared well on his hurdles debut but looked as if a less demanding trip would bring the best out of him. Whereas any support for the hurdles debutantes may be placed with a view to stealing a place and should be monitored when the betting shows arrive.
