This appears to be a very good opportunity for Janus Du Cochet to shine and the Martin Pipe-trained gelding is given a confident vote over Stavordale Lad, Rocabee and Bak To Bill, who make the most appeal out a fairly modest bunch of opponents. Although Beat The Bank was heavily punted on last time and he owes his connections a good run after he unseated at the second fence at Huntingdon. However, Janus Du Cochet was easily the best of these over hurdles and shaped as if he can make an impact in this sphere on his chasing bow at Wincanton last month. That was his first start for 720 days and he was entitled to be in need of the run. But he still put in a fair display behind the Paul Nicholls-trained Wild Knight and should be a different proposition this time around. Tony McCoy will no doubt be following familiar Pipe instructions and, if he can keep Janus Du Cochet together, the partnership are taken to make virtually every yard of the running this afternoon.
