Verdict

A wide open contest gets proceedings underway and many would have chances on their best form but the principals look to be Damarisco, Princess Aimee and Brigadier Benson and the narrow vote is given to Damarisco. The selection won well last time out when beating Honan and although he has a penalty for that win that form has since been franked and under similar conditions here he will be hard to beat. Brigadier Benson rates the main danger on his latest third behind Doctor Wood. This slightly longer trip will suit and he has definite place claims. Princess Aimee is another worthy of respect on her best form, however she was very disappointing Last time so can not be put forward with any confidence. Compton Star has dropped to a handy mark and is from a yard in form so is worth noting in the market. But in a race that throws up more questions than answers for the winner we return to Damarisco.
