Verdict
A wide open handicap here in which many can be given chances, but the TEAMtalk selection is Stormhill Stag. The gelding from the Richard Lee yard was a model of consistency last season and would be hard to beat on his final run last season when third behind Galapiat De Mesnil over fences at Chepstow. He is well weighted over hurdles and he is proven on the ground. Kedge Anchor Man rates the danger as he has already had a run this season when second behind Dutch Dyane. He to will go on the ground and is a danger to all with his young jockey taking off a handy 7lbs. Rift Valley was unbeaten all last season but he has no form on ground this soft and for that reason he is readily opposed. Bak To Bill was a fair third behind Camp Nou last time out under similar conditions and has definite place claims although he may be slightly to high in the handicap to win. Emphatic was a fair second behind behind Tik-A-Tai at Fontwell last time out and that horse has since run well at Haydock in a better race. East Hill was a fine forth behind Calling Brave last time out and he could go well off what looks a lenient mark. The remainder need to improve on there latest form to score.
